Does Shakeology Really Work?

Posted in: , , ,

For those on the look out for the best diet product and are thinking of Shakeology, this review will be looking at the different ingredients, side effects, customer satisfaction, along with scientific studies. Here’s what you need to know about shakeology.

What is Shakeology?
Shakeology is a meal-replacement shake that contains whey protein, a blend of probiotic enzymes, a blend of superfruits/antioxidants, a blend of adaptogens, quinoa, sachi inchi, chia, schisandra, papain, pea, camucamu, amaranth and goji berry. It supposedly improves your health, bolsters energy levels, reduces appetite, improves digestion, and helps you lose weight. It also comes in a wide range of flavors including vanilla, chocolate, and chocolate vegan.

Shakeology has been on the market since 2011. It is a product of BeachBody and it can be bought directly from their website or from a coach. The natural ingredients and positive responses were good to see, but it wouldn’t last.

Price Tag
30 servings of Shakeology leaves you $129.95 out of pocket, which would only be enough for 15 days if you were to drink two shakes a day. Users were split on this, with some saying the price was too high compared to competition, with others saying Shakeology was better than the competition.

The Science
You’re out of luck if you’re expecting BeachBody to explain the scientific proof that Shakeology is a better choice than your average generic meal replacement. We did some research ourselves and found that meal replacements can be used to bring down caloric intake but that you may need to use supplements to support overall health and nutrition. There is also proof that meal replacements can support the immune system. The International Journal of Obesity themselves summed up the weight loss aspects of meal replacement shakes; saying that they can be used safely to lose weight and reduce the chances of developing weight-related health conditions.

The Bottom Line
So by now you must be wondering what the bottom line is; does Shakeology work and can you use it to lose weight? While we did enjoy that BeachBody included natural ingredients and there was some positive customer reviews to be found, the complaints about Shakeology, particularly about the price tag, make us skeptical.

If you’re looking to lose weight then we would have to suggest you use a clinically-tested supplement that has been proven to help you lose weight without smashing the bank account on the way.

One of the best weight loss supplements of 2016 is a product known as Leptigen. The ingredient list for this supplement includes four ingredients that have been clinically-tested and proven to boost your metabolism and help you lose weight. There are also no complaints about any harmful Leptigen side effects. The feedback from dieters is almost entirely positive with a lot of people reporting weight loss. Leptigen is made even better because the creators are so confident in it that they offer 15-day samples, which is quite a positive thing to see.
