Yesterday, world renowned prosperity preacher, Pastor Creflo Dollar created a fundraising page on his website for one of the most luxurious private jets in production, a Gulfstream G650, to cost $60 Million. He requested for 200,000 believers to donate $300 each to help him and the church quickly reach the goal and purchase the private jet. There was an immediate online backlash once the story leaked on theroot and elsewhere, and now, the goFundme page has been removed.
The church had been making the demand because, they said, the private jet the pastor had been using before now had recently suffered engine failure leading to an emergency landing, which is not a good thing. The intro begging for donations re-iterated that Pastor Creflo Dollar needed a replacement so as to ensure that he, his wife, and staff members of the church can get to their overseas engagements safely and quickly, at any needed time.

Before it was taken off, the fundraising page [see web cache here] had said:
Due to this recent incident coupled with the 31 years the airplane has been in service, we believe it is time to replace this aircraft so that our Pastors and staff can continue to safely and swiftly share the Good News of the Gospel worldwide. Believe it or not, there are still millions of people on this planet who have never heard of Jesus Christ and know nothing of His greatness. Our hearts desire to see precious lives changed and snatched out of darkness and thrust into His marvelous light! We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are asking members, partners, and supporters of this ministry to assist in the undertaking of an initiative called Project G650. The mission of Project G650 is to acquire a Gulfstream G650 airplane so that Pastors Creflo and Taffi and World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace. We are believing for 200,000 people to give contributions of 300 US dollars or more to turn this dream into a reality—and allow us to retire the aircraft that served us well for many years.
Pastor Creflo Dollar is said to be worth a whopping $27 million, which raises questions as to why he needs his congregation to fund his private jet. And why is he going for one the most expensive planes instead of one he can afford?
Some comments on Twitter before and after the funding page was removed
I rode 14 hours on a church van with a bad air conditioner to Houston, TX. @Creflo_Dollar ain't too good for that.

Hey, @Creflo_Dollar… why did you take down your GoFundMe page for your new private jet? Did God give you the ability to teleport?

There has been no communication on why the page was removed. Check back for updates.
UPDATE 1 - While the church removed the public page, it seems the fundraiser continues on the donations page of the website.
